Background
After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, Kev came to Vancouver to study English and along the way discovered his enthusiasm for fine food. Following his heart (and his stomach), he studied French baking in Korea. After immigrating to Canada, he graduated from the Baking & Pastry Arts program at The Art Institute (formerly Dubrulle). He went on to win three gold medals at '2008 Eat! Vancouver' for his chocolate bonbons, centerpiece, and plated desert. He then worked in the pastry kitchen at Blue Water Café before moving on to the Pan Pacific Hotel. His passion for sharing his delectable treats led to the creation of Chef Kev in 2009.
